“Carlo’s Rugs”

For five years I worked in a cubicle farm at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The PDC is a strange place; mostly made up of cavernous, empty 1980s-deco liminal spaces, but peppered with a few “creative” offices and an enormous mall of “to-the-trade” home decor wholesalers. One of those stores, which sold ugly area rugs that cost more than I made in a year at the time, inspired this short, silly screenplay. At one point, somewhat serious talks with a production company actually occurred, though they ultimately led nowhere. If you’re interested in funding it now, don’t hesitate to hit me up.
